The Challenge
Recharge City is built to serve the needs of long-haul freight and logistics operations. With 450 dedicated truck spaces, on-site amenities, and secure overnight parking, the facility needed an access system that could handle high traffic volumes while meeting strict European safety standards.
To qualify for Platinum-level EU certification, the site required robust verification for every entry and exit — ensuring only authorized vehicles could access the fenced, 24/7-monitored area. Manual checks would have slowed traffic flow, so automation was essential.
The Solution
Integrator Certego Scanview selected Vidar, Adaptive Recognition’s high-performance ANPR camera, to power the facility’s automated entry process.
Vidar reads each vehicle’s license plate in real time and links it with the driver’s online booking and payment record. When a truck arrives, the system instantly verifies authorization, triggers gate access, and logs the event within the management platform.
