Combo Smart N passport reader

All-in-one document reader and verification terminal

We have a newer version of this product. You may want to explore our latest passport reader & ID scanner: the OSMOND ➝

Some IT systems have special requirements – and the passport reader should adapt to them. Like in banks where 3rd party software installation is not preferred, or at a telco office with thin clients – or where the practicality of plug-and-play operation is a priority, like at airports or mobile border control points. To cope with these challenges, the passport reading workflow should be designed accordingly.

That is why Combo Smart N has a cutting edge compared to other passport readers: it has onboard data processing. While other scanners require a local PC connection, this device performs passport data capture and authentication on its own. The all-in-one unit reads full ID information – from printed to chip data – while performs thorough authentication, without a PC or laptop and works perfectly with thin clients. As a platform independent solution, it needs no installation and works anywhere.
